Tech @ BG Keith,

They were done in the 60's. It's been 9 or 10 years since we've done any of them. I'll look to see if I have one laying around.

Tech @ BG CruisingRam,

IF you have one of the old Holley Dominators with the choke towers on it you should not remove them. Those carburetors actually flowed better due to having the stacks on them. They are also worth more to someone that actually needs them. If you need to remove them for clearance, you'd do better to sell the carburetor, and invest in a newer model.

I personally would have a machine shop do it... but i have never seen a dominator with a choke horn on it before????? Can you post a picture of it????

cuda66273 Or sell the street Dominator and buy a King Demon, there's allot more to air flow than milling the choke horn. You'll see virtually no gain what so ever by just milling the choke horn off.

take the carb apart and do it yourself....

get a dremmal/sp? and a disc cutter and have at it then grind away the rest. Or call up a local speed shop and ask them to do it for you.

Milling the choke horn off a carb

I have a dominator I want to take the choke off of, and mill off the choke horn- anyone had this done? Was it by a carb shop or a machine shop?
