daimon1054 I know of no law that says you have to add them if they did not have them but I don't know all the laws. I also have found the DMV to be next to usless as the bums there know even less of the law all they do is push papers and try to act important. I would call your state police or do internet searches. As said for safety I would mount some but I would want 3 point units not just lap belts.

willys36@aol.com I go to Pick-A-Part and get seat belts for every car I build. Willys has 'em, '53 Chevy pickup has 'em.

poncho62 Don't know in your area, but here, it only had to have the belts if it originally came with them. Got stopped a couple of times in my 55 Chevy.....no ticket, but you still get the lecture.

Finally put belts in my old cars when the grandchildren came along.

5window I agree. Play it safe and put them in anyway. Juliano's is the big name and you can see what's available. Also try Andover Restraints for some good looking belts at good looking prices. USe DOT approved belts and don't skimp and get used ones.

1Fast65Elky put em in anyway, you'll be happy if you ever do get hit or pulled over. Takes 30 minutes or so and will save you more in the long run.....
