|firstname.lastname@example.org||How much lift do you want? Do you want it permanently? Is it to clear big skins or just for a '60s 'rake'? Re-arched springs is the most elegant and engineering-wise sound approach for a permanent rake. Adding leaves will only make the ride stiffer w/o much raise unless you re-arch all the leaves. If you decide to add leaves only add long ones, this will give you a relatively softer ride. Short leaves stiffen the ride significantly. Obviously, air shocks are the best approach for an occasional nose-down stance. How you do it primarily depends on what you final goal is.|

-EATON SPRINGS- can supply you with a set of springs to raise it safely. If it is going to be dragged occasionally, AIR-LIFT makes bags for it. You can pre-load either side.
LINC TOWNCAR used the system you are talking about. Keep it FORD.

It's not recommended, but I reversed the shackles on the leaf springs of my
'61 Ford and it never caused me any problems. I merely twisted them
around with a pry bar. Of course that was 44 years ago and I didn't
know any better.

How raise the back of my 62 Ford Galaxie?
I would like to raise the back of my 62 Galaxie about two inches. I am going to put on different leaf springs that have 5 leaves first. If that doesn't work I want to try air shocks. If I try the air shocks I would like to use the load leveling system off of a GM car to keep it at the same level regardless of how much weight is carries. I know on my 1995 Olds Aurora the system works very good. Does anyone know if using this compressor would work.
Any suggestions on raising the back of my car are appreciated.
