hello

I want to tub my truck so I can mount bigger slicks >> traction

so what method do you think is easy and effictive ?

1- tub the frame and relocate the leafs + adjusable coilovers +caltrac style bars

see this

2- use a drag racing 4-link kit

3- copy the 4-link from a production car (G-body or B-body)

I don't know anything about 4-link design and theory so, I think the easiest and cheapest way is #1

this is a drag race truck but I love to drive it in the street
it will have a +500 rwhp sbc :)

any input appreciated

Are you looking for the cheapest way, if so relocating the leaf springs IMO is the way to go. You can reuse a lot of the same parts. If you do use the 4-link set up this is great, but they are sometimes difficult to adjust properly. But with that said they are ADJUSTABLE so you can fine tune. You can buy complete weld in back half kits for these trucks from many vender's but they are $$$ , they are quick and easy to install. Good luck with the project and keep us posted.

Give us some background...
What are you doing currently to help traction?
What tires are you running?
Motor/Trans?
Before you do anything to tear up the truck you really need to optimize your current set-up. I will tell you right now that if you go to a set of CalTracs or Slide-a-links and a good drag radial tire you will have enough traction without a major rebuild...

I havent started the swap yet
I bought a 91 s-10 shortbed with a blown 4 banger

the motor is a blowthrough turbocharged ( pt88 turbo ) 355 sbc and it should make +800 rwhp

I will use th400+transbrake and either a 9-inch or a dana 60 rear end

I don't know what tires I can use but I've read that I can mount 28x10.5x15 slicks on 8" rim without any modification
