|wishnevsky||Do you have he Dwayne Alman on Aretha Franklin's "Chanin Of Fools?" Stevie Ray Vaughn is on a few cuts of Jessica Warn's Cover album of Leonard Cohen Songs, "Famous Blue RainCoat." Not much car content, but a great album..|

I always find it interesting to discover more "established" artists helping out an up and comer on their first album, so I was making note of that. I also like to go back and check out an artist's first attempts at becoming established themselves by working with already established artists. For instance, long before he became popular, Stevie Ray Vaughan played guitar for David Bowie on his album "Let's Dance." That's the only reason I own the album.
Just a side hobby of mine...

Yes it was - on the "Bat out of Hell" album. Edgar Winter played saxophone, Todd Rundgren played guitar, and Max Weinberg played drums on that song - Ellen Foley was the female vocalist.

I tracked this one down too..
Seven Little Girls (Sitting In The Back Seat)
by Paul Evans & The Curls
Seven little girls, sitting in the backseat,
Kissing and a-hugging with Fred,
I said "Hey, would one of you come up and sit beside me?"
And this is what the seven girls said:
"Keep your mind on your driving, keep your hands on the wheel,
Keep your snoopy eyes on the road ahead,
We're having fun, sitting in the backseat,
Kissing and a-hugging with Fred!"
Drove through the town, drove through the country,
Showed them how a motor could go,
I said, "Would one of you like to see my dual carbureator?"
And the seven girls whispered low...
And as for "409" Beach boys, of course.
Here is a page with some muscle car songs..

And who says epic poetry is dead?...
And i read that Charlie Ryan, see a post above, is in bad health, he is 91. I'm not totally sure he is still alive, but i went and ordered a cd and a signed picture just to help out a little..
