what jmark said... Give us your main and rod oil clearances...

Are you by any chance running a fram filter with the by-pass plugged in your filter adapter????

What is your oil pressure at 6000 rpm????

Jmark Hmmm, 12 pounds is enough, but I'd think that if the engine is newly built it would have a lot more than that. Did you verify the rod and main bearing clearances when you put it together? If they are on the loose side, your pressure will suffer.

406 oil pressure

With a high volume pump...my 406 shows about 12 psi at idle.Idle is about 800 rpm.It shoots up to 40 and beyond when i rev it .The sweep is consistent with the rising rpms.Im just concerned at idle ...should i be?The motor is a hydro roller swap.
