Most morons can angle drill the holes pretty easily, I have.....

bracketeer Just drill the lower 3 holes. They go straight in. The upper three holes are on an angle. If you buy aftermarket heads they tell you not to drill the upper 3 holes. Because you have a real good chance of screwing up. The lower 3 holes are the important ones. Its where the steam builds up under the siamese casting.

lluciano77 Look up how to drill them online. It isn't easy. There are two different angles that you have to drill at. If you mess up your heads will be ruined.

yes you need to drill steam holes
no they won't flow as well as 400 heads

347mustang yes 350 heads will fit but you need to put a 400 head gasket up to it and drill a few small holes for the steam ..called steam holes..

sbc 350/400 heads help

Do sbc 350 heads fit on sbc 400 blocks? Got a sbc 400 for $800, but need to know if i have to get new heads or if i can throw my 350 heads right on. any reply is very helpful>
Projects: '77 Jimmy, w/350- soon to be sbc 400
'70 something sandrail- just frame and rear axle
