I know that they sell a complete intake for around 580.00..
It is based on a 5.0 truck lower.
That is all the info I know about it.
It had rectangle ports instead of oval ports like the stock 5.0 ho upper and lower.
It would be nice to know if there was ever such a thing that was made...

I just checked Holley. Apparently they no longer sell that manifold new..... It was a popular item back in 88-93... I guess few people bought them and they were phased out. If I remember correctly, they were about $ 240 for the lower replacement only, and the whole upgraded system was about $ 500.
I'm going to snoop around and see if I can find one, and when I get some more info, I will enter it here.

OK I stand corrected.
I have never seen a lower made by Holley that will fit a stock upper..
I will have to check into that..

Holley made a lower that was used with the stock 5.0 upper, and if I remember... it was about 1/2 inch taller. That is the one I was inquiring about. For the stealthy upper look.
They also made a complete intake.
The stock upper is symetrical, right to left, as is the GT40, and the TB can be placed on either side with equal performance. Yep, there's the throttle cable hookup situation. My friend put his on the driver's side. emailing you picture
As a recap, I am trying to make good power for the 95 % of the time I am between 2000 and 5000 rpm. Not that I don't mind winding to 6, but I am not willing to give up the lower and midrange torque to do it. (Maybe I do need a screw blower or a Cobra Jet)
I cruise 60 mph at 1950 rpm in 5th gear/ 2800 rpm in direct 4th. and gets easy 24 with the AC on, in 5th.
FYI= In the "old days" when someone asked, "how's she geared?" and guys would say, "2800 rpm". That is the rev per mile/ rev per minute at 60 miles per hour, takes into consideration the rear gear and the tire diameter.... Like a 33 inch tire with 4.56s vs. a 26 inch with 3.25 gears....... the same rpm.!!!

Now we can see if we get to the meat of things..
The holley lower was designed after the ford truck lower..
It will not work with the stock ford upper.
It is a kit with upper and lower from holley...
If you want to keep the stealth look I would just do some port work.
The truck upper has the throttle body on the wrong side.
I had thought about doing that but the throttle cable was on the wrong side..

I didn't start this as a ford vs chevy post.
As I said when i first posted it.
I was taking up a lot of space in another post trying to answer someones questions on how to make a mustang run low 13's on street tires @ 109.9.
Now for the age thing and day dreaming. Please I'm 42 and been a mechanic for the last 22 years.
My first choice would be a cobra intake.
It's all about air flow.
The stock intake sucks. # 1 & #5 are pinched off on the lower intake where it goes into the head.
If you want to do it cheap port the stocker.
I ported mine and had to epoxy #1 to get it straight enough for me. But when I put the cobra on I only went .1 faster. So it worked ok I guess. I also ported the upper where the T/B goes and tapered it into the intake.
The bottom of the upper can be ported as well.
If you don't want to buy a set of aftermarket heads then port them as well, they should work good.
The cam choice looks good for a n/a combo.
If you are going to put a blower on I would wait till then to do the cam swap and maybe get a custom grind for it.
And by all means get those headers on!!
Air in + air out = hp.

5.0 HO Ford
This is just a street cruiser hot rod built 11 years ago: I have a absolutely totally stock 90 5.0 HO fuelie 5 spd in a 63 Fairlane hardtop, 3.50 gears, disk brakes, Air Cond, etc. It is the WC 204 transmission with Pro 5.0 shifter, "mopar super stock" type springs, Mobil 1 syn ATF, and Mobil 1 engine oil and diff lube. It has KN conical air filter and J code 302 log type cast iron exhaust manafolds, 2 inch duals with glass packs and pea shooters. It has run 9.33 in the eighth when I can hook it with 235/60 radial TAs on Magnum 500s. I'd guess it weighs about 3400. (I have stage 2 C6OE-M heads 56 cc/9.6 comp, and Hooker Super Comps lying in wait= 6 years)... What would you suggest as the next engine mod? I am thinking cold air intake... then CompCams XE 258HR maybe the 264 or 266. Eventually I want to use low boost centrifugal blower. I like the screw blowers but hooking will be impossible on the street. When it hooks solid it is bad-butt taking off, and in 60 feet I am marking in 2nd.
