|email@example.com||They can only do one color - two toning causes mixing of the colors. As I understnad it, most powders yield a semi-gloss finish. For single colors, they coat and bake the color then for max gloss they coat and bake a gloss clear right over the color coat. 2 steps.|

There's a good shop nearby. I'm just wondering how they do multiple colors/coats? I understand the initial color is applied after blasting to a uniform finish, but what's done after the initial coat and before a clearcoat? Or is this not possible?

|firstname.lastname@example.org||By all means, if you have a good shop in town, powder coat. They can do any color you want including candys and no paint in the world will hold up as well. Plus, they will do the blasting for you before coating saving you that step and $$.|

Powdercoat or paint?
I'm going to renew my '87 Corvette calipers and was wondering which finish to use? I'd like to do them in red, then sand the fin "tops" back to natural (aluminum), then clearcoat over that. Also will need to do all the remaining aluminum pieces: CA's, cross shafts, spindles, etc. in clear after glassbeading them.
