Make your blocks out of Oak as well as that wood does not crush when you apply torque to the bed mounts..also works under cab mounts in those old guys..

I don't remember how big they are. I think I just mounted the bed and figured out how high they had to be to make the bed fit properly.

|badriand||thanks martinsr, are the blocks like 2" by 2" or something? Was wondering if it would be better to use some tubing or something so you can forget about the wood roting any?|

Chevy mounted the bed like that all the way up until 54 I believe. I used the wood blocks on my 48.

Question for all chevy 41-46 1/2 truck owners
Curious as to what you did for mounting the bed to frame? Did you use original type wood blocks or go with some square tubing or something?
