Halloweenking Re-doing a vinyl top is pretty easy, just get the foam, prep the sheetmetal, little scuffing and make sure its very clean, cut the padding shape it to what you want, spray on the adhesive, lay on the padding working from the inside out(middle), after you lay on the padding and after its dried, possition the cut fabric/vinyl to make sure it will fit(good measure) just to make sure, take off the fabric/vinyl spray the padding with adhesive let it get tacky lay on the fabric/vinyl working from the middle out just like before, put the new border on(its sold in kits or in one package) and your done, its not hard just takes time and patients, just grind the pins off and cover with a thin layer of fiberglass, or bondo, or my favorite Metal 2 Metal, its a bit hard to sand but a good filler base, after you smooth it the best you can cover it with a thin layer of spot puddy and seal, prime and paint

vinyl tops

on an 85 crown vic with the vinyl top on the back if i had to redo the vinyl back again is that something i could myself or hell no? now i smashed this in the right rear and had to put on a rear quarter, and had to rip some of the vinyl off, if i want to street rod this car should i just keep ripping it off or have it redone to have it worth more in the long run. And if i do get rid of the vinyl how do i take the pins out of the body that held it there and make a good paint job out of it
