Henry Highrise I would rather use a DA sander that runs on air. More power, faster, does a better job. Better sand paper selection. You got to have air to paint so buy a air sander.

You would not notice any difference in your energy bill. Besides that, you have to plug it in anyways to recharge it.

Gr8 '48 bow tie If you have a compressor, a pneumatic is the best. Of the two you mentioned, IMO, I prefer the cord even though it is a pain in the as we speak to have the cord entangled a lot of the time with everything that is close to it.

Which would be better?

I'm gonna sand my truck down to paint it,(bed) But would a corded or cordless one be better? I got a cordlesss one today but then I got to thinking, how long do the batteries on these things last? I went ahead and got the cordless one because I need the portability and save on the energy bill,But if it would benefit me,I'll take it back and get a corded one. Its a Ryobi brand,I got it a home depot.
What do you guys think?
