BOBCRMAN@aol.com depends on how handy you are if you have to buy all the parts individually lots of bucks rebuilt muncie or borg trans-$450-800.00 shift linkage $125+up scattershield (you will need one) flywheel- clutch disc and press plate and throwout bearing and arm cross shaft and ball pivot, linkage arms and a factory pedal assembly.
add up all that and a rebuilt 350 turbo with a street strip convertor looks mighty tempting, easier on parts, more consistant, probably faster. been there

It has 82k miles on the turbo hydramatic.(and the rest of the car)
I want a 4 speed in it that would handle over 300hp, How much would this run me? thanks

BOBCRMAN@aol.com a stocker 350 turbo with a lot of miles??? maybe 250-275 hp, put a shift kit in it and it will last a lot longer.

I have a 74 nova with the turbo hydramatic transmission. How much power/torque will it handle? thanks
