I know its still far off my im trying to figure out how i wanna paint my porsche. ive got it down to a few colors.. viper red, hok ultraorange pearl, or honda s2000 pearl yellow. i found a couple pics online of a red porsche with a black hood and roof and it looks great but i always like to get others opinions. tell me if i should do somehting like this or keep it all one solid color.. thanks guys

I would take the black down further on the front to encase the head lights, that body line right above the bumper/turn signal which sweeps up, and follow it along the fender top to intersect with the pillars IMO.That black hood just does not "work" for me.Too mechanical looking with NO flow.
I had a Mustang II painted that way from the factory and it looked great. I got more complements on that car than any I've ever owned. People just seemed to really like that combo.
I never was a big fan of Orange on Porsche's. Either red or yellow for that FAST look.
That orange we were discussing awhile back might look good with the black though.

Hey, beemdubya
I say you should consider the torch red from SPI. I got it on my car and looks really good man. It's in the border line allmost not having orange in it and not dark as bolero or flame either. I like that color and a few of my friends see the color and they comment on it

A rich looking gold with the black hood and roof would also look good IMO.
Reds are way to common, black looks a little too stealth and wouldn't get the attention your car deserves. Blue-nah, yellow-nah, Dark green metalic-maybe....
I was thinking a biege sorta color from an audi but didn think much of a gold. was also thinking about greens but i couldnt find the right one or one close to the right one that i had in my head. but ur right about the reds.. its really common and someone not knowing any better would think i was just some rich yuppy in a stock porsche. not a poor body man in a fully custom built car.. haha
