GCD1962 There are a number of good chrome shops around the country. Show quality, triple plating is not cheap, but you can't beat the look. Prices do vary, but again are expensive. Show chrome jobs are very labor intensive. Metal bumpers and such are much less expensive than pot metal. Get a copy of Hemmings, there are many listed there

enjenjo I use B and L plating just off 8 mile in Detroit. They do good work, but are not fast.

46chevyfleetline If you can't find anyone on your side of the creek here's a company that does great work in London Ontario for a reasonable price. About an hour from the Port Huron/Sarnia border. Midway Plating. (519)-686-7216 or 1-800-265-5705. Have a couple places for polishing if you need it. Hope this helps. Cheers!!!
11-30-2005 02:00 PM Here is a list of Michigan platers. The list is a bit old, some may no longer exist. As stated the EPA has been murder on platers. Also chemical rust strippers.

Swap meets

There are some fellows here that come to the swap meets that do that sort of thing..there should be some of those coming up in your area..that is where I would check..Like the guy said a lot of this stuff is very specialized and not a lot of people do it any more so one needs to get out and make connections..
