Hm...yes I have seen that truck on the HAMB actually. Somebody was saying that a big name customizer (cant remember if Barris or someone else) had bought it and sold it a year after. Post it on www.jalopyjournal.com/forums and I'm sure they can help ya there. I think there was a whole thread on it not too long ago.

Porter's Chopped 1949 Pickup
He must have sold it in the early '60's. It's been showing up at car shows, because Jim Aust of Rod & Custom saw it, but can't remember where. Also talked to some guys who had worked on it, and knew that my Dad had used it for a pushcar for his racecar. He tried to buy it back in the late 1970's, but the person wanted too much money. It's now painted orange with flames, but it was originally Goldenrod Yellow. It's also in a lot of magazines and books. You can see mag & book pics at his site: http://www.chuck-porter.com
