quick question can you guys tell me if chevy rally rims will fit on a old 72 buick skylark got to pull it home and all the tires are rotted and flat i have some chevy rims laying around i was going to use them if they fit thanks jon
Back then a Skylark was considered a Small car the big ones like the 225 Electra and wagons typically had a bigger spaced lug pattern .
Same thing across the divisions Pontiac Oldsmobile & I do believe Chevy ad the "big wheels" too
Most Chevy wheels should fit fine. Chevy had the same 5-lug bolt pattern for compact thru full-sized cars through 1970, but from '71-'76, they went to the big GM pattern for the full-sized cars. After '76, the big GM cars could have had either pattern.
If the Skylark has disc brakes, some of the older (pre-'75) Chevy 14" wheels won't clear the calipers.
In general, all GM non-metric wheels from 72 to present go something like this:
All full size (B and D body) cars, 5-lug full size pickups, astros and the like have the 5x5" pattern. All intermediate RWD cars (A, G, X, bodies), S10s, and AWD astros have the 5x4.75" pattern.
The problem is that Chevy rallies came in both patterns. Do you know which vehicle they came from?
