Flange? as in wheel mounting flange, wheel mounting surface, brake drum. OK to be more clear the S-10 rear measures 55" from where the rim touches the drum on one side to where the rim touches the drum on the other side.

|Jason||I took a 7.5 out of an '87 S-10, it was 55" from drum to drum (wheel mounting surface).|

The narrowest Ford you'll probably find is a '74 Maverick 8", it's 56.5.
The link below has some Ford links that may interest you.

|pasadenahotrod||It would be helpful if you told us what kind of car you have....many of us might jump to the conclusion that you have a 37 Studebaker 3W Coupe or 49 Chevy Coupe! See what I mean?|

REAR END WIDTHS
I AM TRYING TO FIND A STOCK REAR END FOR MY COUPE TO AVOID HAVING TO GET A NARROWED UNIT. THE FACE OF DRUM TO FACE OF DRUM DIMENSIONS NEEDS TO BE FROM 50-1/2" TO 53". WILL BE RUNNING SMALL BLOCK CHEVY. DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A STOCK UNIT THAT FITS THAT CATEGORY? I WAS WONDERING ABOUT MAYBE AN S10 OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.
