I have narrowed it down to two color schemes: Yellow with black stripes of Hugger Orange with white stripes. Also if orange is there a paint code for that or do I have to mix it myself? Or will my body-man know and I just worry too much?
Your bodyman should be able to find the code for huggar orange, a pretty popular color. Then if they have a mixing system he will look up the paint formula and mix the amount he needs, or his paint supplier will do it. I don't know, its what you prefer is what you should paint it, I think either combo would look allright on a nova.
Solid black would be my pick, but I like the hugger orange better than yellow with black stripes. Just do not carry the stripes onto the top, that looks really dorky IMO.
Hugger orange is a nice color for orange, the formula has a lot of weak black for more shadow effect (highlights shapes) than most of your basic oranges. Adding more weak black also increases the effect. Personally I'd put a metalic color o it. I seen one years ago done in a stock Olive green solid singlestage that actually looked really good and stood out from the crowd, Not that I like solid Olive green but it actually looked really good IMO. Get away from the way they were supposed to look, then I agree about tacky.
