The linkage kit will allow you to run the carbs anyway you want. You can set it to open both carbs at the same time or wait for the first carb to open halfway before opening the second one.

I would set it to open both carbs at the same time. Who cares about fuel mileage....

bccsrc I figured that I would also need the Linkage kit. Here is the Part:
Progressive Throttle Linkage Kits Part# 7094

Guess I will also need this:

Dual-Quad Fuel Line Kit Part# 8088

What Air Cleaner should I get?

What about painting or cleaning up my other 600 CFM carb?

either is fine

Depends on the motor, if you have something "hotter" the twin 600's would be better but if it is mild vice versa.

I have 2x500's on my F-28 on a moderately worked Ford 5.0. Works great and looks absolutely awesome.

If you have 600's, use'em. The edelbrocks are vacuum secondary carbs so the 200 extra cfm shouldn't kill low end response too bad.

Good luck, and for a car seeing alot of street time the progressive linkage is a must, otherwise you get light switch-like throttle response!

xntrik Either 500s or 600s, the secondaries are not going to open anyway under 6000 rpm

with progressive linkage, you will only run on front 2 bbl of the rear carb most of the time anyhow.

But you will have to tune them for the slow air flow....

I think I might just go this route. I already have one new Edelbrock 600 CFM carb and another one that isn't much older. I just wonder if I can rebuild that carb and give it some type of touch up?

How can I get the Edelbrock carb to look new again?
