alrighty everyone heres the deal... i got a 72 chevy 1/2ton p/u that im over haulin from the frame up... im lookin at 600hp to the wheels... i need to build a suspension to drive this beast... im not sure if a rebuilt pickup suspension can handle it or not... anyone with ideas let me know... and if ya have any input for this massive project im about to undertake... all input is appreciated. thanx, -knight
why so much? that won't be very streetable, specially in a truck. it's not only the suspension you need to worry about, the transmission and differential both need to be able to take the power. the stock trailing arm suspension could be modefied for more traction
ive already accounted for the tranny with a richmond 5 speed... and the differ is bein built by a tranny company to line up nice... im just worried about the suspension...go with a truck suspension or go with something different...
You might want to look at all the mods that Stacy David did to Copperhead on Trucks. 572 crate motor with a few mods to the suspension and it was one screamin' demon. CHECK IT
600 hp to the back end? Not much weight back there in a truck box. I be thinking about getting more room for the larger meats your going to need to hook up to the asphalt. Nice truck for your project. My son has a 71 shortbox with a 350hp sbc and it gets bend pretty easily.
