jimfulco A few late 2nd-generation Firebirds came with rear discs from the factory, and since a Firebird is just a Camaro in fancy clothes, that setup would be good, but they're hard to find.

Disc Brakes

I've got a 10 bolt Drum Brake rear end out of a 71 camaro with 5 on 4-3/4 bolt pattern, and I want to bolt on disc brakes. (I'd like to avoid an aftermarket "bolt on kit because of the price and lack of immediate availability of wear parts)

can anyone answer one or all of the following questions.
1. will disc brakes off of a 12 bolt rear end also work?
2. would say disc brakes off of other 67-80 model year GM vehicles with 10 bolt rear ends work? if so which ones?

3. has anyone bought and used an aftermarket disc brake upgrade and do they use brake pads and rotors that can be purchased at local autoparts stores such as autozone, checker etc, or do the wear parts have to be catalog ordered.?

4. does anyone have a set of disc brakes which will fit my appliation for sale in the Denver, Colorado area?

thanks all
