Rick WI It is a really mild "performance" cam. I think with a Magnaflow or Flowmaster exhaust it would be just what he's looking for.

jimfulco I have not used one, but I heard one in a truck recently, and it's almost completely smooth. Not as smooth as a stocker, but very civilized.

There are a couple of videos with sound of a Vette w/ZZ4 here: http://www.c3sharktank.com/sound/sound3.html

Listen to the top 3 from Sigforty. The truck I heard seemed a bit smoother, but it had quiet mufflers.

Have any of you guys used the ZZ4 hydraulic roller cam? How does it sound? Is it stock and smooth, or maybe a little rumbly.

I'm thinking of using one for a customer, and he wants a very slight chop to it, but not really a lope.
