Rick WI It is a really mild "performance" cam. I think with a Magnaflow or Flowmaster exhaust it would be just what he's looking for.

jimfulco I have not used one, but I heard one in a truck recently, and it's almost completely smooth. Not as smooth as a stocker, but very civilized.

There are a couple of videos with sound of a Vette w/ZZ4 here:

Listen to the top 3 from Sigforty. The truck I heard seemed a bit smoother, but it had quiet mufflers.

Zz4 Camshaft Sound

Have any of you guys used the ZZ4 hydraulic roller cam? How does it sound? Is it stock and smooth, or maybe a little rumbly.

I'm thinking of using one for a customer, and he wants a very slight chop to it, but not really a lope.
