Thanks, it "IS" a driver. I will continue to put a lot of miles on it. It will be on the track this season too. First track event isin April at Pocono.

Thanks John. They are the best ones I've done to date. Lots of careful trimming and hammer and dooly work paid off nicely.

evill Well, 1 year later (for those of you following) here are some pictures in the sun from this fall. I still need to add the blue Carrera graphics to the lower quarters, doors and fenders.

BTW - All SPI with PPG base coat.

More Progress

Color sanded and began polishing the body. The depth and gloss are unreal. This is only 1 pass with Presta Cutting Creme and a wool pad. No polish or swirl removers yet. Plus these were taken with my cell phone camera and they look this good.

That reminds me of the time I referred to my attorney's 911 as his "hot rod". The stiff old barrister gave me a look of disgust, like I was insulting his German sports car by using the term, hot rod, so I fired him . Not really, he just retired and then bought a new 911.

Great car, keep the picts coming!

Update

Okay, it has been awhile, so here is the progress as of this morning.

I was off this week between Christams and New Years, so I was able to get the body painted. I blocked out the 2K with 180 and then 320 with 3M dry guide coat. I sealed with SPI epoxy, based with PPG DBC Porsche Signal Orange and then SPI Universal Clear. Blocked out the clear with 320 and shot 2 more coats today. The depth and shine of the SPI is incredible. I am really pleased.

Happy New Year.
