Does anyone know the correct paint code for the silver dash, steering column, and steering wheel for my 57 Chev. I think it's called "Argent Silver" but I'm not sure. Thanks in advance.....
Looking in my copy of "How to Restore Your 1957 Chevrolet", published by Classic Chevy Club International, the paint chart (appears to be an official GM chart) in the appendix lists only "silver" as the interior color. For body color, they list "Inca Silver" as an option.
Incidentally, if you are restoring a tri-5 Chevy get that book. It has step by step building procedures with very clear photos of installing nearly every bolt on the car.
any good restoration catalog will have a vin/ body tag chart that will decode all that information and tell you. I have it in my chevsofthe40s catalog but it only goes up to '54, otherwise I would look for you.

If link doesn't work, go to http://www.classicchevy.com and click the "Literature and Video" link on the LH side.
