techinspector1 In my opinion, Clifford's parts come a little too dear for me. Give Engle a call and discuss their grind numbers EP-14/100HYD (204/210 @ 0.050", 0.473"/0.490" lift) and EP-16/18HYD (210/216 @ 0.050", 0.516"/0.534" lift).

inline cam ?

Hey guys, I'm not really new to this, I've just never put a cam in a car before. The vehicle is a 1967 Chevelle with a 230 CI I6. I have Clifford headers, intake, a Holly 390 CFM carb and an HEI ignition, and I am now deciding to put a cam in it as well. I have been looking at cams from Clifford, and I have decided to get one from there. First off, has anyone gotten one from them, and what do you think of it? My next question is about installing the cam itself. I know that it will be a relativly large amount of work, but I am prepared. What would you say the difficulty is, and how long would you estimate it taking? I am going to put an electric fan on it once I am done because I am tired of the mechanical fan, so that might also adjust the time it will take. Next, do you recomend the "Monster Torque" cam? I noticed that it says that you need thier cam kit which comes with springs, retainers and all that jazz. Is it best to just buy the kit and cam and replace everything, or just buy a lesser cam and leave my valvetrain stock? My valves tick pretty bad now, but I have heard that this is inevitable with an I6 Chevy. Anything that you guys can let me in on is most appreciated. Thanks again, Sam.
