beetle9 I'm kinda in the same boat, wondering what pound springs to put in the back of my 35 pro streeter. Jegs offers the springs needed, but I have no clue as to what weight I'm looking at. I believe they range up to 250# coilovers which would accomodate 500#. I too however want a decent ride and not too stiff. I'll watch your post to see what recommedations you get. Good luck.

rear coil springs

i have a 40 ply coupe and am putting a 68 chevelle frame underneath. the frame arch and the body arch dont match up and i need to lower the body 5-6 inches. the oem chevelle rear coil was 15 inches. im thinking a 11 in. coil plus body weight(around 500-550 lbs&gt should give me the height i need. my question is spring rate. what pound spring should i buy. i want a nice smooth ride. this will be a daily driver for fun. thanks
