|dinger||Good to see ya, Doc. I often wonder what has happened to some of our members when they don't come around to visit anymore. Keep us posted. Dan|

Doc C, glad to see you back. You have been busy on the Sled so we can understand your absense. Why are we never satisfied when we "finish" a project. I guess we street rodders are the forefathers of the "Quality" movement. We are the originators of "Continous Improvement".

Hi again, been awhile....
Just popped in to see what's up at the Lounge, thought I'd post. Hey Bill I agree, I would'nt give a best engineered to a car without front brakes either. The least they coulda done was throw some Chevette discs on it like I did with my Caddy 500 T bucket, then it would at least NOT be a ratrod and still unsafe...
The Kustomsledd is currently a driver, Shannon and I have been running it around to a few local shows, and I take it out most weeknights when I go out singing at the bars. No major mechanical problems to speak of, though I did find my junkyard 472 needs some new valve seals, I fog for skeeters whenever it's running, out the left side taillight. Also, no lens melting problems to speak of, and that includes running 65 MPH on the Interstate a few times. I have a few smaller cosmetic changes I am making on the bodywork, different backup lights and such, and have started on the 'strip-to-bare-metal-and-fill' process. I have half of the roof done and am just gonna work around the car as I go, laying in the majority of the filler with short-strand and roughing with 80#. Once I have that finished the short strand and bare steel will get epoxy primer to seal it all up, then the featherfill and prime-block-prime, then finish paint. We are looking to get it all shot up dark purple with red and blue flake in the clear before the end of summer. No recent pics yet but Jon has all of my website copied here, even the videos. I need to get with upgrading...
Anyone who remembers my Kawie Mach 3 chopper will be happy to hear I got the carbs soaked for a couple days, then rebuilt and I actually rode it past the house doing a 4-gear wheelstand on the wheelie bars last week. Not bad for a bike that took 3 days of beating to get it to even kick over...
Sorry I have'nt been on in ages but I have been so busy with work and trying to get customer cars done that I have had little time for any net browsing, most weeks its all I can do just to clean out my junk email.
I am glad to see this site is still keeping the faith, and all the trolling I used to see (or would see in abundance at other unmentioned rodding sites ) is happily absent. Good work Jon and the mods...
