What would you do if you had to change the insulators or remove the bar for any type of service?
You need to cut the smallest access hole you can with a holesaw to be able to insert the retaining hardware. You should only need one hole on either side. Don't let somebody blow a hole with a hot wrench.

|BruceZ28||HaHa.I used grade 5 bolts, I forget the dimensions, but they were unable to hold in such a shallow setting.I guess I'll have to do it the fun way and drill some more holes in my frame.Would'nt welding work well?It is not necessary to be able to remove the shackles.Thanks.|

What did you secure the mount straps to the rial with...sheet metal screws?
You will most likely have to drill an access hole on the rail sides so that you can insert locking hardware. Use at least Grade 5 and Loctite on the fasteners.

Rear sway bar on 70 camaro
I have a '70 camaro that has a rear sway bar issue.It was not setup for one so I drilled the frame rails to accomadate the mounting bolts.The only problem is they have a tendancy to pull out over uneven surfaces,like pulling in and out of the driveway.Is ther a way to go in from the top so I can install nuts and lockwashers, or should I just have the shackles welded to the frame?Thanks for any help.
