Two in your area that you might want to check out are:
Mile High Upholstery - Pleasonton, CA
Giotto's - San Jose, CA
Of course, if you want a high end, show car interior the best (IMHO) is right down the road from you - Sid Chavers in Santa Clara, CA

That is excellent advice. Find someone who does upholstery for a living, and has a track record. Ask for references from some of his former customers. Any good upholsterer will be happy to furnish references. Then go look at the work that was done.
There are a lot of guys who claim to be upholsterers that you should stay away from. When it comes to upholstery, "good" and "cheap" are never the same. Good luck.

|73oldsman||Find a local car club in your area and ask around. Those guys usually know who's good and who's not. I wouldn't rely on pictures. They can come from anywhere. Look at someone's completed work!|

Looking for a good upholstery shop
I own a '58 Karman Ghia Convertible. I want to find a good upholstery shop. I'd like to see pictures of the auto at the beginning of the work and the end of the work.
