|blndweasel||I'm pretty sure that's standard procedure for BG recommendations, the assertion is that their carburetors flow better than comparably sized units from the competition... I'm sure the BG tech will pipe up with a more official answer|

|lilcorichevy400||i dont no but i do no smaller carb lose high end bigger loose low end i like the holley 750 vac its not to big or to small and its cheeper. just get a ragchester!|

which Barry Grant carb
this is a question for tech guy @ barry grant.
i sent all my engine specs into Barry Grants tech line, GMPP ZZ 383, and they suggested i go w/ their speed demon 650, w/ vacuum secondaries. i was just looking at the prices at Jegs for this carb, and i notice they have carbs setup for certain crate engines. i looked and saw they suggest a 750 for the fastburn 385. GMPP used a Holley 750 for their testing and HP and torque ratings. i just checked, and both engines have the same heads and cam, only mine is 383 ci and the other is a 350ci. so why does Grant suggest a 650 for more cubic inches.
