th leak

I should have included that the kickdown cable is not used since this tranny is full manual and the cable is actually cut off several inches from the case.

Crosley IF your trans detent cable or the filler tube have the rubber sealing sleeve ( NOT the O-ring)

It is best to install the rubber sleeve into the tranny case first , then the cable end or filler tube.

Th350 leak

You may be able to remove cable from carb to gain enough slack to unhook cable from trans.Saves you the trouble of pulling the pan.

Jmark Ck the cable to make sure it's not cracked where it goes into the case. If it's ok, all you need to do is drop the pan, un-hook the kickdown cable then remove the cable from the trans, 7/16" bolt I think. Change the 0-ring and put it back together. RTV will most likely NOT work since it's oily.

TH350 Leak

I just had my trans rebuilt (TH350) and it is leaking around the kickdown cable area where it goes into the case. Before I had the trans rebuilt it leaked there and I indicated it to the bozo that did the work. Is this an easy fix or am I going to have to pull the tranny out for this one? Or can I just put some black rtv silicone around it and solve the problem? Thanks for any help you can provide.
