Google "700-R4 Tv cable" and check adjustments procedures from Transmission suppliers. It is fairly easy but it is critical that it be right, so follow some version of the factory method so you don't smoke that expensive transmission!
after i installed the engine and trans in my vette i dropped the trans pan and had some one step on the gas pedal to WOT and i watched the plunger in the trans and adjusted it so that the plunger was depressed according to the specifications.....it certainly was the easiest way for me to do it.
I am no transmission expert, but I do know this is no place for trial and error unless you have lots of time and money to spare.I personally know 2 local hot rodders who have smoked those trannies because of improper adjustment on the cable.I beleive in doing most of my own work, but I cant afford to screw up something as costly as a 700r4 trannie.find someone who knows how,I am sure it wont cost you much to get it done correctly.
