Task Complete

I located two brackets held by 2 bolts/nuts on the back of the heater control unit, removed the brackets and the unit slid right off, there was no need to remove the wires from the unit side. Thanks again.....

poncho62 The cables are probably holding it in place.........I would undo the cables at the other end...that should release the whole unit. That the way my 62 Pontiac came apart anyways.

1964 Impala "Heater Control" Unit

Attempting to remove the interior "heater" control unit (air, def, & temp) from the lower dash, threre are 3 wire controls on the back-end of this unit that lead to the heater. I don't see any bolts/nuts/screws to remove the main unit which appears to slide onto the lower dash, anyone know how to remove the unit? Thanks in advance..
