I replaced the Coolant temp switch (one for the CPU in the waterneck not the one for the gauge). I pulled a plug and grounded it...it's getting spark.
I'm going to try changing the spark plugs because they are soaked in gas.
If that doesn't fix it off to the dealership it goes.

|driveability||First I would hope you are looking at the correct temp sensor. If you don't have spark replacing the temp sensor wont help that. Good luck with your project.|

Try going to a decent parts store as well. The guys at NAPA or CarQuest always seem to be much more knowledgeable and helpful then the guys at AutoZone or Advanced, at least in my experience.

Still not starting.
my plugs are wet with fuel, Plugs are getting spark.
My local autoparts store sold me a ETC Sensor, and it doesn't look like it's actually for my car. Does anyone know where I can view location or buy one online. The part store swears it's correct but it doesn't look like the one going into my thermostat housing.
Can a ETC Sensor keep a car from starting?

|RodFather||Fuel pump is working. I rented a scanner, and it says the ECT Sensor is faulty. I am going to go buy a sensor now. That's the only code I showed. I will let you all know if it starts after I replace this.|

|driveability||I think looking for stored codes is always a good way to go, however it sounds like you could go directly to a few tests like listening for the hum of the fuel pump. It should come on when you cycle the key "on" for a few seconds. Its likely if you wish to here again you will have to cycle the key off for 20 seconds for the system to go to prime again. I would start there if no codes are present and surely check for spark. You could also remove an injector connector and see if the harness receives a pulse during cranking using a test light. Keep warm !!!|

|Kevin Varnes||It should be right in the same vicinity of the EEC TEST plug. It's just a single wire with a plastic end fitting on it. Do some searching around the test plug. Unless someone cut it for some reason it should be around there somewhere.|

'93 ford tempo won't start. Need help pulling codes
I know it's not my hotrod, but I need help getting the old daily driver to start.
I have a 1993 Ford Tempo. 4cyl fuel injected. Last weekend I didn't drive the car for 3 days, and we had freezing weather. I can not get it to start now.
First thing I did this morning was replace the battery and terminal ends because it was a mess. Car still will not start. It acts as if it's not getting gas.
I found a site that shows me how to pull the codes, but I can't find the STI connector. I found the 6 pin Data link connector that says EEC TEST on the cover, but I can't find the STI connector that a run a jumper wire to.
Any help is appreciated.
