I would think they would be close to the same ...
But other factors play into the equation ...
1) how far back you set the engine ...
2) the radiator ... 2 row, 3 row, 4 row ... aluminum
3) the cross member ... mine is set as deep as possible ...
4) headers or manifolds ...
5) aluminum heads ... intakes and such
6) A/C ...

It will depend on the spring you used ... but my 32 steel Roadster ( with steel fenders ... ) dropped about 1 and 1/2 at the beginning and settled on down to almost 2 inches after a few thousand miles. I have a TCI front spring. My car has aluminum heads, intake and water pump.
I would not want it any lower ... every now and then the front tires will rub the fender brace ...

How much lower will the frame lower once the real motor is installed ?
I am using a plastic mock up motor and th350 case to mock up the entire front end of the car ( 32 ) .. the entire setup is ~50 lbs ... What is your experience the frame will lower in inches , when the heavy SBC and trans is installed ?
