powerrodsmike I don't know if all Dodge axle flange to rear end housing offsets are the same.

I would check the offset of the axle to the end of the rear end housing, and compare between the truck and the car..

If the drums from the truck are wider, then the drum may hit the backing plate before it seats on the axle flange if the offsets are different..

That is where I would start.

backing plates

hi there guys just wondering if any one can tell me if backing plates off dodge truck will fit 8 and three quarter rear end the ones i had were ten inch but when i sand blasted them they fell apart found two real good ones on a truck they will bolt on but they are eleven inch also will they fit 14 inch rally wheels i am putting v8 in so up grading brakes on a body from 9 inch to 11 inch if they fit. you know what they say bigger is better thanks fellows any help would be great ray
