bluestang67 Will have to do a walk thru salvage yard and get a close up soon as weather breaks.

OneMoreTime One might wish to look at some tail lights form one of the Ford vans or pickups..those had some nicely shaped lites and that may keep em guessing as to where you got them..

adtkart One advantage of computers is that, if you have some knowledge of them, they can let you know what different variations will look like.

Now.... If I could just learn to use this thing!!!

bluestang67 You are right about color. That could make one light or another fit in. What i thought could be cut and dry is not. With seeing the rear and lights so many more ideas are coming. Im sure glad we can do it this way and not have to cut the metal just to build it back.

Oh yeah bike looks good . Series of rods sounds fun.

ratfink35 Modern style lights might look better on a darker color. If you get the blacked out versions, they would not stand out as much. They do make crystal/white versions, which could work with a white or lighter color scheme.

Thanks for the postive comment about my "hot rod" harley. My 35 Ford is being built to match. I have a 68 FLH that I am planning on applying the same scheme to.

So in the end, I will have matching two wheeled, three wheeled and four wheeled hot rods!

bluestang67 Colors have bounced a bit Rat, Possibly a copper top with a white bottom. Then a purple bottom came to mind but havn't caught a color to top it off yet. The color would break at some type of line flowing down the sides

Bike looks good very roddish.

ratfink35 What color are you painting the car? If it is going to be black, you can get the chevy lights "blacked out".

In keeping with an all Ford theme, the Expedition lights looks like they could work.

On the topic of tail lights, I put Ford tail lights and rear bumper on a Harley.
02-25-2007 09:27 AM
bluestang67 Rat the toughts of all tail lights have came to mind. One wrapping around the rear cornor would act as a marker also. Not a bad idea just trying to stay all ford.

Here is a import that i drew out for a look .
02-25-2007 09:26 AM
bluestang67 Yeah there not bad . Since there so much smaller i can do them in the body or fenders. There a little pricey in L E D form.

ratfink35 Here is an idea that might work. And if it does, it might be hideous.

Tail lights from a 90's Chevy s10, the ones that wrap around.

You can shoot me now...

MARTINSR Aaron is dead right, I am ONE guy with a strong opinion. If everyone made their cars to look like only I would like them, rodding would be pretty darn boring.

Bluestang, the Forty lights are pretty daring actually without being way out there from another planet.

02-25-2007 05:33 AM
adtkart Actually Brian, I am good a geography. I just haven't seen too many good ideas come from that far west in many years, so I ignore them anyway. Fortunately, the taste of the people in the area where the car is at can vary considerably.

bluestang67 Aaron in the end i will make the final decision. But this helps me get more ideas and maybe like some said will see a better fit . As for selling the amount would make me rich LOL. Here is some 40 ford though
