Add a bottle of transmission cleaner that's what I did on mine it cleaned out the valve body. Good Luck!

700R4 slow to shift into reverse

Hi Crosby, thanks for the reply. As far as I know it is the origional tranny and never been touched. 208,000 Km. Never been out of Alberta,Canada. Some pretty cold winters.

what is the history of this tranny?

original mileage on it? Has it been rebuilt before?

there are two areas in the trans that can cause a no / weak reverse.

Sounds like hard internal seals since it is worse when cold

If this is a common problem does anyone know what's happening. It seems worse when vehicle is cold. 1986 Chev Silverado 305.
