|baddbob||I always put 25-30 lbs in the doors to simulate the weight of the internal parts, it sometimes makes a big difference. Sandbags work well. I do think those mustang doors are fairly stout though and you might not see any change at all.|

Door adjustments should always be made with all hardware in/on them. It will make a difference, on some cars more than others.

I would put the weight back in before sanding, also you can tweak the body in some cases by tightening the body mounts down .

i would say no. The amount of weight is not that bad from windows and regs. The pins and hinges were designed to hold door where it is set and adjusted . The door shell is reinforced to hold the weight.
I took the glass out after door alignment for paint and gap didn't change at all on my coupe. They have the same doors.

Should I add weight to door shells to simulate glass etc?
I finally got my lower hinge pin kit (even though my hinges are pretty tight) I will rebuild them, then mount the doors back on the car for blocking and aligning body lines.
Should I add weight to the inside of the door shells to simulate what they will weigh, once all the glass etc is added?
