i want to lower my 1952 ford f1 pickup, but i cant decide how. when i do lower it, it will be very low and because it will get driven daily, I dont think scraping the ground is an option. Plus I only have about 4 in of suspention travel to begin with. So i think i'll end up with an air ride system. But i am on a tight Budget and cant find a kit any way.could anyone help me find a fairly cheap fully adjustable system. Even though they are diffrent body styles 48-52s are almost mechaliclly identical. There is not an IFS front and is leafs all around.

Try going to the Classic trucks web site. They have to my knowledge done an old FFFF....ord (hard to say that word being a Chevy guy). Check out their tech articles you may find a solution to what you are wanting. The only thing is if you go air and you want it dependable and you do it right it ain't cheap. :D

Forget the premade kits because those are almost unafordable. So what if you have to do a little welding to adapt some equipment.
You wanna spend allot of money on the best possible bags, lines, tank, and pump that you can.
Your going to waste allot of money buying a bolt up kit when you can spend that same money on top of the line parts and install it yourself. The basic principal is, get good equipment, makes sure your lines and bags dont pinch on decompression, use the best hose fittings, and keep it simple.
If your doing a frame lay thats a whole new world but to just put some basic bags on your ride, don't buy bolt on, break out the welder, and spend the money on top of the line bags and fittings.
