can you burn threw clearcoat with 1500-2000 wet sandpaper
i definatly dont want to burn threw after searching this forum it seems as if many people burn threw the clear and have to start over again, i dont mind putting the extra work in with 1500wet, will it save me from burning threw?
You want three good coats of clear applied if you're planning on doing any serious color sanding. With two coats of clear you wouldn't want to be very aggressive. Remember even if you don't burn through you still need an adequate amount of clear on the surface to protect the basecoat from UV damage. For a show car finish many painters will apply three coats of clear then give it a thorough sanding with a block followed by two-three flow coats of clear then a colorsand and buff.
One of the things I like about the new Firefox 2.0 Browser is that it underlines a misspelled word right when it is typed. Then you right click on the word and choices come up for words that you can choose from. It is making me lazy about thinking about the spelling the words. But my posts will have no misspellings.
I recommend Firefox 2.0 it is great.

If you barely went thru the clear in a few places in the first color sand, would you be OK because you are putting more clear on with the flow coats?
