|shortyforty||When I painted the wife's dash in her 56 I had trouble getting good coverage up where the windshield meets the dash. Seems the air turbulance kept causing extreme orange peel. Maybe I didn't have the correct mix of reducer but the rest of the dash came out perfect. The next time I'll pull the windshield to make it easier.|

|poncho62||Dont take out the dash...........remove all the seats and interior panels...........You will be glad you did......You will still have to mask off the widows etc.|

56 Chevy dashboard
I'm re-wiring and HOPEFULLY re-painting my dash. I did not see bolts holding in the dash, so I guess I'm asking:
1.) Is it easier to cut out the dash and re-weld? If so, any gotchas?
2.) If I need to mask everything off and paint it, any suggestions on how to keep the over-spray from my white leather seats, and white head-liner, without taping off the entire interior?
