I am about to start on my dream,(1950ford 2dr.) I have a 1976 mustangII front suspension(out of a v8 car) what is it going take to put this under my shoebox?
As a Moderator here ... I want to be the first to WELCOME you here. Unfortunately ... the 49 to 53 Fords do not accept a Mustang II IFS very well. They were already independent front suspension and the frame does not adapt well. There are front stubs being made to remedy this. A GM clip is too wide IMHO ...
Y not just upgrade the stock front end with disc brakes? adapt a power rack and pinion into the mix ( keeping the original front end, just taking out the center link ect... ), you'll have good results with little trouble
