matt167 yeah. the OHC 2.3's are really good engines. better if there the Turbo versions, but there all good. check the cam timing, it's probably retarded.

2.3L 4 cyclinder 1988 mustang motor...

Why is this engine the biggest Pos ford ever made??.....
I changed the head gasket and put it all back together exactly how i took it off and doesn't run.. IT ran before we took it apart..and now it will crank up but has no power at all it barely moves in drive or reverse. Help plz.. A neighbor of mine has recently redone one of his mustangs and i thought he was just being wasteful when he threw out his 4cyclinder motor on the im beginnings to wonder if its not a smart thing to do.
