When you cut and buff clear what do you do about the areas that a buffer just can't get into? How about door jambs, under hood, under deck lid, etc. Do you just clear those areas and stop without any sanding and buffing or do you go ahead and sand and buff by hand?

I use a di-grinder with a 3 inch buffing wheel atachment. You can buy the 3 inch kit with all the pads you need at your local paint supply house. One word of warning, allways rember.....everything you sand you have to buff too,so dont get too crazy with the sand paper.

I use the 3M 3" one's but the auto paint store "should" have some 3" wool, waffle pads for a 1/4" arbor with the Velcro hook up.
Using a die grinder will work but you need a choke valve on it to controll the speed which will drive you insane as it is constantly changing depending on what and where your at in the buffing process.
I broke down and bought a Dynabrade 3" buffer which is not cheap but I do a lot of small stuff and it was worth the cost for me but the die grinder is OK for a 1 or 2 time deal.
Don't bother with the 3M "wool" pad. It's a complete joke and won't stay on the Velcro for nothing.I got one that resembles a regular wool buff think it's a Schleigle or something like that.
3m's Black waffle pad is killer though. Still don't understand "why" they don't use the same hook up on it for their wool pad.
