|knighthawk||Some have a ''flash'' , where you can flask tour highs at some one ( like the other post said, and then you push the lever the other way to click them on. I assume you found that already. Then next, I would unhook the rod and move the rod up or down, or take the rod out completly, click the flasher.....................new parts are not always good parts.|

Nope that didn't work either, the switch will only go one way.It does have the ability to flash the highbeams,it just wont keep em on.
Thanks for the reply-Hoonbash

|perrib||Try moving the switch in the opposite direction I think it sits in the low beam position moving it one way flashes the hi beams and the other way keeps the hi beams on.|

How to adjust column switch hi-low beams??
Greetings from Alberta,Canada
The Car: 1983 Cadillac Fleetwood
The Problem: High beams will not stay on.
This car uses the high-low beams mounted on the turn lever, the rod and the lever are in good working order,a new switch was installed, and it's still not working correctly.I see the switch has elongated holes and I've tried lots of adjustments with the same results.I can pull the brights on but they won't stay on,it clicks back to low everytime.
Somebody shoot me some tips please.
