baddbob It's not a good idea to do filler work over urethane surfacer, at the most a skim coat of polyester glaze is acceptable if the surfacer is sanded. The bond is not the same as on epoxy and you'll possibly see some mapping at some time down the road. Buy some quality epoxy or do the filler work over bare metal.

adtkart If you already have epoxy primer on it, I would sand that and apply the filler on that. I believe the epoxy will give a stronger bond than the 2K urethane. If you are planning on applying that urethane on bare metal, then you want to check and make sure it is designed for "direct to metal" applications. Why don't you just go someplace else and get epoxy? Urethane and epoxy are not generally interchangeable.

302 Z28 It's common practice today to do filler over urethane 2K primer.

Countilaw CU42 I've never had a problem with using filler over 2k. But I do use a premium filler such a Rage and Z-Grip.

Urethane Primer

I need your help on this one. Can we work the body filler on top of urethane primers as we do with epoxy primers? I am asking this because I already used 1 gallon of 5 Star Epoxy Primer and when I went to the store, almost 1 year later, to buy another gallon they did not have epoxy primer from 5 Star and they advised me to buy urethane primer, which I did, but still haven't use. Now I was going to start working on the dents but before using the urethane primer I must be sure if the body filler can be use on top of it. Thanks
