Anyone out there building or already built a '27 Track T?
I'm looking for a new project vehicle and stumbled across the Track T on Speedway Motors site. Superior Glass Works appears to offer the same or a similar kit. Found a few references through the search function, but no first hand information.

Sure can, it was about 8 yrs. ago...I spoke with the owner several times about their '32 victoria body, he assured me it was a work of art bla, bla, bla. It took 7 months for them to finally deliver the crated body.

I had a couple of hot rod type friends there to help me unload it. When we pulled the top off of the crate I'm telling you I could have thrown up, it looked like they had dropped the body (upside down) on the right A pillar and had tried to repair it. The gel coat at that location looked like it had been smoothed with a pine cone. The bottom of the doors at the front were about 3/4" too short and the FLOOR, thats what really pi----- me off. The floor from the B pillar forward was at the most 1/8" thick!!

Anyway, thats not what I had expected and definitely not what I wanted so I sold it. Now if they have done a better job in making their bodies and in quality control since then well good for them and good for you if you decide to buy from them, but like I said, I would'nt. Good luck...Dave

Just my two cents for what it is worth is that I have had decent luck with Speedway over the years..They are not all that far from Detroit if you want to go there..

Myself if I were to build one I woudl seriously think of using the 2.0 liter 4 from a Ford Focus..Ford performance has lots of stuff for those engines and to me it would be a neat way to go..

Your money and your car tho so do what you like..

I saw one of these kits last weekend. For the most part, it is a very well designed kit. The one I saw had been started by one guy and sold off when his interest shifted to something else. I think you have the right slant on this project. If the picture at the top of your posting means anything at all, the trip to Speedway would be worth it just to visit the museum.
